About the Australian Wood Design Exhibition (AWDE):

Now bi-annual, the AWDE has been running since 1993. Attracting participants from local, state, and national levels from amateurs to experienced professionals, the AWDE showcases all forms of wood design and artwork. The AWDE is open to the public and historically attracts over 2000 visitors. This year, the AWDE will be expanded to include ticketed workshops, meet-the-maker sessions and formal opening and closing festivities, to which all entrants receive two complimentary entry tickets (reservation required).

About the Orbost Exhibition Centre (OEC):

The OEC is a not-for-profit community-run organisation that currently receives no operational funding. Our mission is to deliver an ongoing arts program that nurtures regional creativity and presents Wood Design, Visual Arts and Performing Arts to Orbost, surrounding communities and visitors to the Far East Gippsland area. The OEC has been the home of the AWDE since the building was completed in 2004. All proceeds from the AWDE are returned to run future AWDE’s and support the OEC’s mission.
