Inkpot Alchemy

A joint exhibition of two collaborating artists - Cheryl Cook & Dijanne Cevaal.

There is such joy in experiencing the making of your own printing and painting natural inks.  We create our own natural inks made from ‘place’.  Using harvested vegetation from the garden or surroundings we tell the stories of our environment.  We use this vegetation to create inks and printing inks that we use in a number of ways.  We consider the joy of using paper, cotton, khadi cotton, hessian, 100% natural fibres to create beautiful printed and naturally coloured art fabrics and art pieces.  It is a bright exciting way to connect with places of the heart. This art approach can represent beliefs in how we live and interact with our surroundings.  Our work is ever evolving through collaboration, seasons and interests.
