We are actively looking for volunteers to fill shifts. Shift lengths change depending on activity, however 3-5 hours is standard.

The Orbost Exhibition Centre is a vibrant hub for artistic expression, located in the heart of our beautiful town. Our centre hosts a diverse range of exhibitions, showcasing local and international artists, along with educational programs, workshops, and community events. We strive to create an inclusive space that encourages creativity, cultural exchange, and lifelong learning.
🤝 Volunteer Responsibilities:
As a volunteer at the Orbost Exhibition Centre, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various areas, including:
1️⃣ Visitor Engagement: Welcome and assist visitors, answer questions, provide information about exhibits, and ensure a positive experience for all. Willingness to use square payments and other computer software is required.
2️⃣ Event Support: Assist in organising and coordinating events, workshops, and community programs. Help with setup, registration, and other event-related tasks.
3️⃣ Venue Maintenance: Assist with maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within the exhibition spaces and facilities. Help with artwork installation and removal, as well as labelling and signage.
4️⃣ Promotion and Outreach: Help spread the word about upcoming exhibitions and events through social media, local networks, and distributing promotional materials.
5️⃣ Administrative Support: Provide assistance with general administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and preparing materials for exhibitions and workshops.

✨If you volunteer a minimum of 15 rostered shifts a year, you’ll receive a 20% membership discount on the following year’s membership fee.
✨For artists stocked in the OEC retail shop, a discount commission applies if they volunteer a minimum 12 rostered shifts a year.
